I am an Industrial Engineer, active in the Dutch Banking sector. In my career I have worked in both the private sector (Postbank, ING, S. Lelieveldt Consultancy) the public sector (De Nederlandsche Bank) and at a representative branche-organisation (De Nederlandse Vereniging van Banken).

I have versatile experience in setting up programmes, projects and developing a business and regulatory strategy. I have done so in the past in varying roles as industry analyst, projectmanager, consultant, senior policy-advisor and head of a department of professionals.

The subject areas that I am familiar with are: retail payments, payment systems and settlement, bank supervision by AFM and DNB, innovative payment products (e-money), SEPA, PSD, EMV and financial markets.
